Believed to be the only pub in England bearing this name and run by the Birch family, Marc, Liz, Darren & Louise since 2004, The Black Venus Inn is a splendid old stone-built pub with wonderful food that enjoys an enviable location in Challacombe within the Exmoor National Park. Perfect for walking…
There are many circular Exmoor dog walks that start from the pub and take in the beautiful village. The lovely little river Bray is crossed by a footbridge and a ford. Many walks take in the historic Packhorse Bridge and Challacombe Church.
Along with enjoying the very best in both homemade food and local drinks, visitors to The Black Venus can also enjoy the fresh country air by sitting out in the inn's well-maintained beer garden.
